808Education (808) is a single-member LLC led by founder and creative, Norman L. Merrifield. Our services have been inspired by the golden era of HIP-HOP, refined by middle-school feedback, and tested by a dynamic group of leaders from a variety of fields. 808Education is dedicated to the transformation of the professional landscape by revolutionizing the way people conduct meetings. Our core mission is to help busy people deliver better meetings that are more engaging, and efficient, and catalyze job-embedded training into continuous human development.
Norman L. Merrifield, Founder/Executive Thought Leader
Norman Merrifield is a seasoned expert with an unwavering commitment to enhancing professional development through engaging meetings. With a wealth of experience and a passion for facilitating professional learning, Norman serves as the creative force behind our mission. He is an accomplished public school educator and entrepreneur from Bloomington, Indiana. Norman holds a BS in K12 Education from Tennessee State University, an audio engineering diploma from SAE Institute, and an M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education and Human Development. Aside from his work at 808, Norman is also actively involved in his community. He serves on the board of the PENCIL Foundation (2021 Board Chair), co-founder of East Nash, and a co-founder of the Nashville Local Golfer’s Association. Norman happily calls Nashville, TN home and enjoys celebrating life with his wife, Christal Merrifield, and their sons, Blake and Kylan.
