Norman L. Merrifield is an educator, artist and the Principal of 808Education LLC. He and his wife, Christal, have two sons who love sports and the great outdoors. A Bloomington, Indiana native, Norman holds a BS in K12 Education from Tennessee State University and a M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development. Norman is a social entrepreneur who champions the artistic, scholarly, and community strengths that educators bring to the work. The goal of 808Ed.com is to deliver premium professional learning services that prioritize culture and honor student strengths through empowering educational practices. Norman serves on the board of the PENCIL Foundation, as co-chairman of National Museum of African American Music education curriculum design committee, and is co-founder and youth soccer coach with East Nash Soccer.
